Arda Aykut was born in Ankara in 2002. He entered the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in 2012, where he began his viola studies with Prof. Bige Bediz Kınıklı. He graduated from high school as the valedictorian of his class. Since 2021, he has been pursuing his bachelor's degree in solo performance with Prof. Julia Rebekka-Brembeck Adler, and chamber music studies with Vineta Sareika and Gregor Sigl of the Artemis Quartet at the UdK Berlin (Berlin University of the Arts), where he is currently continuing his master's degree under the same instruction.

Over the years, Aykut has performed with orchestras such as the Hacettepe Youth Symphony Orchestra, Ankara Youth Symphony Orchestra, Doğuş Children's Symphony Orchestra, National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Turkey, Turksoy Kyzylorda Chamber Orchestra, UdK Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Musica Inaudita, and Junges Philharmonisches Orchester München.

He has had the opportunity to work with prominent figures both nationally and internationally, including Nobuko Imai, Marco Misciagna, Daniel Schwarz, Andreas Willwohl, Pauline Sachse, Thomas Riebl, Hartmut Rohde, Tatjana Masurenko, Julia Rebekka Brembeck-Adler, Hariolf Schlichtig, and Ferenc Gabor. Additionally, with the Varyon Quartet, of which he is a member, he has worked with renowned ensembles such as the Artemis Quartet, Casals Quartet, Kuss Quartet, and Tokyo Quartet.

He has performed in numerous orchestral, solo, and chamber music concerts, and served as principal viola in countries including Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Hungary, Italy, and Germany. He has participated in festivals such as Young Euro Classic, D'Accord Das Klassik Festival, Crescendo Festival, and Sommermusik Nagold, and has performed in major concert halls including the Konzerthaus Berlin, Herkulessaal in Munich, Stiftung Mozarteum Großer Saal in Salzburg, and the Berliner Philharmonie. He also completed a concert tour in Japan with the Varyon Quartet.

Furthermore, Arda Aykut has performed as a soloist with the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra, Ankara Youth Symphony Orchestra, Hacettepe Symphony Orchestra, and Loh-Orchester Sondershausen.
 

Aykut has won numerous awards, including 4th Prize at the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra Young Talent Competition (2019), the Best Performance of a Turkish Work Award at the Online Classical Music Academy Music Competition, 4th Prize at the ISCART Music Competition, 1st Prize in his age category at the King's Peak International Music Competition, an Honorable Mention at the Online Polish String Instruments Competition, and 3rd Prize at the Prof. Ruşen Güneş International Viola Competition. Furthermore, with the Varyon Quartet, he won 1st Prize at the Munetsugu Hall String Quartet Competition in Japan, as well as 1st Prize and the Special Audience Award at the Alice Samter Stiftung Kammermusikwettbewerb in Germany.
 

After completing his bachelor's degree at the UdK Berlin with the highest honors, he is currently continuing his master's studies at the same institution. He has also been supported by the Dr. Herbert und Anne-Marie Lembcke Ad-Infinitum-Foundation, the Lucia-Loeser-Stiftung, and the Kurt und Felicitas Vössing Stiftung and this year got selected to get Deutschlandstipendium 2026 by Udk Berlin.
